So! you have a new puppy! Well they need to go to school too! Puppy Preschool is a program designed to encourage pet owners to become aware of the needs of a new young puppy. It also gives an owner the opportunity to discover what is involved as a responsible pet owner. Puppy preschool offers detailed information on basic dog behaviour patterns and how these can be applied to the training of your puppy. Topics generally covered include house training, barking, and lead training as well as a recipe for controlling canine behaviour. Should your pet require further help our teacher is able to provide home visits and extra one on one tuition. One other very important element is the socialization program. This ensure we all own confident and friendly pets. Basic healthcare is also covered with topics covering nutrition, parasite control, dental health, vaccinations, and grooming. The best age for pups to enter pre school is between 8-16 weeks (earlier is actually better) as this is the age when many behaviours can be learned easily and quickly. Most classes run for one hour per week for 4 weeks and are held in the evenings on a Monday Night !! If you have a new pup and wish to have some fun learning together and certainly makes owning a pup more rewarding - try puppy preschool. Contact the Surgery to make a booking on 07 326822688 Our classes are run by Justin Jordon - a representative of Dogtech
